Since 2017, we have invested our own funds to build Dāsubhāshitam into the largest Telugu Audiobooks app.

We select the best in Telugu literature and convert them into audio under licence from copyright owners. We currently offer 100s of titles read by real voice artists. More content is added every week.

Besides Audiobooks, we produce 'original content' for personal, professional, and spiritual development. For this, we draw from the best ideas in Arts, Behavioural Science, and Non-dualism.

Special Initiatives

We offer the App absolutely FREE for blind people and for Telugu Teachers. To promote the love for Telugu in students, for the last 4 years we've been running a Telugu competition with a prize money of ₹1 lakh for Tenth Standard Students in the Telugu states. The Problem

More than 50,000 users have downloaded the App and we've received more than 1500 reviews and ratings.

Our ratings are high for the content but poor for User experience.

Most complaints are about not being able to subscribe to one of the paid plans. It is a good problem to have but a problem nonetheless. This means that we are doing something right and useful but we need to improve a great deal.

The App needs to be rebuilt from scratch and we have to keep the lights on till the business can stand by itself.

Why we need your help now

We think we have built something that Telugu people can really be proud of. Something really useful for those who can't read Telugu or just don't have the time to read, and more importantly for those who want to live a more fulfilling life, and do so by listening to great content in the comfort of their mother tongue. We believe that using the App even for just 10 minutes everyday can markedly improve the quality of life.

We don't have any institutional investments (VCs) in the company. We've so far been able to bootstrap from our savings, help from family and friends, and even loans against property. But we have now exhausted all our resources.

Our Annual Subscription Plan (Sarvajna) costs ₹6000. This plan gives the User access to all the content in the App.
