Diwali is a festival to celebrate the spirit of humanity to share the happiness and
joy of life with family and friends. We light diyas and candles to illuminate
the darkness of life. This Diwali lets make a difference by lightening up the
life of people of slums by donating ration and essentials items.

The current pandemic has added difficulties to their lives and they are struggling
for their survival. The people of these slums are daily wages workers,
sanitation workers, dhol players. Since the time of COVID-19 lockdown, there
has been a severe crisis of employment opportunities in local labour markets.
Getting work for even two days is difficult for them and daily wages have
dipped by half.

Daily wages workers have been living through horrific period. Government not
announced any measures for them, not only that their rate of daily labor has
declined. There condition is such that they could not buy and afford the atta,
chawal and namak (the basic survival necessity).

Our NGO hope to brighten up their life by providing vital resources Atta, Rice, Dal, Spices, Oil, Namak and sugar, that will be a real celebration for them. This Diwali give them a hope to
survive that they are not alone in their hard times and we are here to help and
contribute.
